The 1st International Conference On Prevention And Rehabilitation Of Hearing Impairment will be held in Beijing in April 2007. It will be hosted by the CHINA REHABILITATION RESEARCH CENTER FOR DEAF CHILDREN (CRRCDC), and co-sponsored by the CRRCDC and the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION

The sessions will include the following topics:-

· Setting up National Programmes for prevention: obligations and functions of governments and NGOs.

· Prevention of hearing impairment through the life span

· Prevention of particular causes of hearing impairment
